P-Noise

I'm a founding member of P-noise collective which is based in Copenhagen Denmark. The collective was founded in 2013 where the first Festival for Contemporary dance/performance art, Music and visual art was held in Dansehallerene Copenhagen. My main work with the collective is curation of contemporary dance/performance art and some aspects of project management of the Visiting both in Denmark and the Philippines

P-NOiSE/NORDLYS Manila Dance Edition 2016 is the first major event featuring Nordic dancers performing in the Philippines under one curated project. P-NOiSE and NORDLYS join forces to present a series of contemporary dance and performance art productions. The event showcases 20 talented Nordic dance artists and choreographers to perform for the first time in Manila, Philippines on the 15th-18th of December 2016.

Such an event has never been done in the Philippines and promises to bring performance arts with a unique Nordic twist to Filipino audiences – in the urban space of Manila. Open dance classes with professional dancers and choreographers are also in the programme.

P-NOISE / NORDLYS Contemporary Dance Edition sets the stage for the continuous global cultural exchange through P-Noise’s events inside and outside Europe. This is also part of celebrating 70 years of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Denmark. In a larger context, P-Noise/NORDLYS Manila Dance Edition is a stepping stone for P-Noise’s 3-year plan to establish a “Philippine-Nordic Music, Film and Arts Connection”.

The project is funded by Kulturkontakt Nord, Nordiska Kulturfonden, Statens Kunstfond, and is organized in collaboration with the Royal Danish Embassy in the Philippines, The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), and Pineapple Lab. Our exclusive media partner in Manila is 2nd Avenue.

P-NOiSE is meant to be a platform for challenging and yet-to-be known Filipino artists to showcase and express their vision, and aims to grasp this exciting and groundbreaking movement and bring it to Scandinavia. We also aim to display Filipino culture and identity in its broadest and most genuine form by supporting and recognizing the contemporary works of these artists. As a Dance and visual curator for the Collective, we encourage and support this creative and innovative contemporary dance, visual and performance art from the Philippines and have a cross connection network of cultural exchanges between the UK, Nordic countries and the Philippines. P- noise is supported by Nordea Fonden, Centre of Culture and Development Denmark and National Commission for Culture and Arts Philippines.
